Thank You for Celebrating With Us!

Family, friends, eating, dancing, laughing, happy-crying…what more could you possibly need for a perfect day? Even Amsterdam was celebrating with us, gifting us sunshine and blue skies. We are so delighted and thankful that you were right there in the heart of it, making it in every way a day to remember.

Honeymoons

Thanks to your very generous gifts we went on not one but two honeymoons! The first was in Portugal immediately following the wedding. The other was in Sri Lanka a few months later. A million thank yous once again for giving us memories we will forever cherish.

FAQs

Was the wedding what you had expected it to be?

Honestly we were so involved in the logistics, we barely thought about how we would actually be feeling on the day. I don’t think we could have possibly imagined what it would have been like if we had tried to, though. The joy of having everyone we love in the same room was indescribable.

What’s married life like?

The same as before, except now we can get even fatter.

So what happened in the end, who took whose name?

We have kept our names, but Lubna has decided that she will suddenly transform into a Mevrouw Schrijver if the occasion calls for it, like when she makes a dinner reservation or maybe gets stopped for speeding or something.
